The 45th Catholic Mass Media Awards (CMMA) has announced the selection of 205 finalists across 41 categories, encompassing print, radio, television, music, advertising, the Internet, and the Student CMMA. These finalists were chosen for their outstanding representation of Catholic values and ideals.
The finalists were selected after going through a series of thorough screening and diligent deliberations by panels of esteemed judges. The CMMA's panels of judges are composed of credible and competent individuals from various fields, including civic and religious leaders, members of the clergy, academicians, and communications professionals. Rigorously selected by the CMMA board of trustees, the esteemed judges were chosen for their integrity, impartiality, and expertise in their respective fields. Their appointments were then confirmed by the Archbishop of Manila.
Established in 1978 by the late Jaime L. Cardinal Sin, the Catholic Mass Media Awards (CMMA) serves as a testament to the Church's recognition of those who faithfully "serve God by means of the mass media." Over the past 45 years, the CMMA has garnered unwavering support from mass media professionals, organizations, and academic institutions, who have consistently submitted their entries every year.
This year's CMMA, under the theme "Speaking With the Heart: The Truth in Love," will be celebrated in a formal dinner with the awardees on November 23, 2023, at the Citystate Tower Hotel. The event will be streamed live on the official Facebook page of the CMMA at facebook.com/OfficialCMMA/. The 45th CMMA will also be aired on CNN Philippines and Aliw TV 23 on December 10, 2023 at 10 PM and on TV Maria on December 31, 2023 at 10 PM.

As the sixth branch, Eternal Chapels Batangas continues the company’s history of excellence, which began with the vision of its founder, D. Edgard A. Cabangon. Inspired by the legacy left behind by his father, Eternal Group founder Antonio L. Cabangon Chua, Edgard sought to complete the circle of mortuary services the Eternal Group provided through the establishment of Eternal Chapels.

Eternal Chapels has steadily expanded its presence to serve communities across the Philippines. The company’s journey commenced with the inauguration of its initial branch at Eternal Gardens Greenhills in Barangay Bulua, Cagayan de Oro City, on July 29, 2017. Subsequently, a second branch was established at Eternal Gardens in Barangay Balatas, Naga City, on February 16, 2019. Demonstrating the company’s commitment to providing compassionate services, the third branch was opened at Eternal Gardens in Barangay Mamatid, Cabuyao City, Laguna, on September 28, 2020. In August 2022, the operations and management of Green Hills Memorial Chapels at Plaza Divisoria, Cagayan de Oro City, were assumed by Eternal Chapels, marking a significant expansion in the region. The company’s latest milestone was achieved on August 18, 2023, with the inauguration of its fifth branch at Brgy. San Juan Accfa, Maharlika Highway, Cabanatuan City, highlighting Eternal Chapels’ dedication to offering support during life's most challenging moments.
